The process is completed virtually, allowing you to meet privately with a licensed mental health professional from the comfort of your home.
What to Expect
Eligibility: You must currently reside in Virginia or Texas to receive this service.
Virtual Appointment: Your evaluation is completed through a secure virtual appointment with a licensed mental health professional.
Comprehensive Assessment: During your appointment, your therapist will assess your mental health needs, current symptoms, relevant history, and how your condition affects your daily functioning.
ESA Evaluation: You will discuss the ways an Emotional Support Animal may provide support and help alleviate symptoms associated with your condition.
No Animal Required: Your animal does not need to be present during your virtual appointment.
One Evaluation Session: Only one Brief session is required to complete the initial ESA evaluation. Ongoing therapy is not required for this service, although continued therapy is available if you would like additional support.
ESA Documentation: If the clinical evaluation supports the need for an Emotional Support Animal, your ESA letter can be completed within 48-72 business hours following your evaluation.
Clinical Approval Required: Purchasing an evaluation does not guarantee an ESA letter. Documentation is provided only when the therapist determines that it is clinically appropriate and meets applicable professional requirements.
Self-Pay Service: ESA evaluations and documentation are self-pay and are not billed to insurance.
